Why We Do This

The View From Your Seat

You, as a professional athlete, occupy a unique position among America's top earners, but it comes with a short career span, often less than ten years. Because of this, it becomes crucial for you to ensure that these years serve as the foundation for your long-term financial confidence.

Unfortunately, this period of fame also draws a multitude of individuals and entities seeking your attention, including financial managers, brands, family members, and others. It's essential to recognize that not all of them have your best interests at heart; many are primarily concerned with their own gain.

Your primary role as an athlete centers around honing your physical and mental abilities to excel in your chosen sport. It's perfectly understandable if you're not as well-versed in financial matters.

We believe that by equipping athletes with the tools to manage their finances wisely, we can help ensure they have a bright and secure future beyond their athletic careers. Our mission is to be a beacon of financial guidance, enabling athletes to thrive not only in their sport but in life as a whole.

10 Years Later

Looking back at this video after a decade, it still pains me to think about how this young man was let down by those closest to him. As a successful athlete, your primary focus should be on excelling in your sport. In my view, it falls upon individuals like myself to help you build a successful life off the field, both during your career and after retirement.

Unfortunately, many individuals and firms in my industry are aware that athletes often do not pay close attention to who is managing their finances, handling their taxes, and handling other critical aspects of their lives outside of sports. Instead, they often entrust these responsibilities to family members, advisors recommended by someone else, or other less-than-ideal choices.

Let me make this clear: If you, as an athlete, don't fully understand something and make an uninformed decision, it's not your fault. It's the responsibility of people like me, who advise athletes like you, to explain things comprehensively and implement the correct strategies to help ensure you and your family are in the right place financially and otherwise.”
